Hammers Of Misfortune - a band I have been involved with since May 2007 with three albums available on iTunes or Amazon some mp3's and merch available on the site. Here is The Locust Years the title track from the last record. Right now we are currently working on the fourth album for a Fall 08 release. There are some live clips of our SXSW show with me singing are up on my YouTube ....as well as most of the other bands listed here
Pansy Division - The gayest of all gay rock bands. I helped propagate their homosexual agenda all over the world for nearly eight years. I did a few albums and some singles with and am also featured on the "greatest hits" package The Essential Pansy Division available through iTunes and Amazon. There are things to check out on the PD website
Dirty Power - A hard rock band that I sing, play guitar and pretty much write all the songs for. We have one album and an EP out and a second album in the works, which has been a constant source of bitterness and confusion for all involved. A couple of EP's can be downloaded at these here and here and our first album is available on iTunes and through cdbaby.com and you can download us playing the entire Fleetwood Mac "rumours" album. and Walking With Thee which is a Clinic cover
some of the other stuff I have been involved in
The Plus Ones - a great pop/rock band that I did an album called "Oh Me Of Little Faith" with and some touring
The Grannies - not bad for a bunch of pissed off old ladies. i played on their first two records and exactly 1 show with.
Jack Endino Seattle based producer of one of the most famous bands in the history of rock. He put an album out a called Permanent Fatal Error and I did a tour playing bass in his backup band.
Jon Auer from The Posies who are one of my all time faves. I played bass and sang backups it was definitely a high point for me. There is a clip on YouTube from a show at The Eagle Tavern in SF
Planet Seven - A surf rock band, mostly instrumental which then pretty much became Dirty Power. You can check out Another Human Error I was playing bass at the time though.
Spinning Jennies - An SF pop band I was with for a little while
The Incredible Five Cent Sugar Rocket - Me and this guy Mike wrote and recorded a bunch of Beatle-esque/indie pop songs in my Moms basement in Denver CO. We only ever played two shows because we really couldn't put a band together. The Apples in Stereo/Elephant 6 people liked our songs and oddly enough there was a feature written about us in the big weekly paper. Eventually I will post some of the songs here.
Baron Von Rock - somewhere between The Ramones and Poison but played really fast. You can check out Fire Fly Ride recorded live at a club called Rock Haven in Reseda Ca in like 1991
Iron Faith - The Christian Heavy Metal band I was in at 16 years old. I posted a video on the YouTube page, its pretty fucking funny!
Lunacy - my first lame metal band
Then there are all the cover bands and fun bands I've done ....and also the lineage of "Girls" bands
Destroyer - KISS tribute band, I have been Peter(drums) and Gene(bass) in this one.
The Stanleys - a KISS tribute band but ONLY Paul Stanley. I can say that I have been every original member of KISS in a tribute band
Enorchestra - My friend Doug did an album which covered Brian Eno's "Taking Tiger Mountain" from font to back and then Enorchestra performed it live, i played percussion
Freedom Rockers - turning up the 70's butt rock
The "Girls" bands. Essentially they are tribute bands in drag, which is really just a bunch of ugly men wearing thrift store dresses. Its all fun and games until someone loses a heel. Most of them have some videos on YouTube and some of the comments we've got have been priceless
The Cinnamon Girls - all Neil Young in drag
The Beach Girls - all Beach Boys in drag
The Fat Bottom Girls - all Queen in drag
The Girls Got Rhythm - all AC/DC in drag
ShELO - all ELO in drag
The She Gees - all Bee Gee's in drag
My Best Friends Girlfriends - the entire first Cars album in drag
The Girls With Kaleidoscope Eyes - The Beatles in drag
and most recently BHER a Cher tribute in .....um, drag?
SDBG (Stupid Dumbhead Butthole Girls) which has nothing to do with the other "Girls" bands but was the moniker for a band that recorded a bunch of stuff between 1986 and 1993
